Recently I received a link from Darij Sômen from YouTube about their Slovenia Special Needs Judo Project.
It’s more than 10 years ago he and Tomo Dadic started the GAN project and they put lots of efforts in it to succeed, Through the years the GAN project received more or less support from the National Judo Federation.
In 2004 Tomo and Darij organized a very well prepared Special Needs Judo event in Koper, a city nearby the wonderful coast of Slovenia.
I remember a well organized tournament, to have seen the caves of Postonia, been on a boot trip and enjoyed the BBQ with a farewell party.
But above all the kindness and the hospitality of the Slovenian people was more than appreciated.
